I gave up 9 weeks ago with the book "The easy way to stop smoking" by Allen Carr,it has been an absolute doddle,i cant believe it.
He has a 53% success rate, nicotine replacement only has a 26% success rate.
The book only costs £8-99,not bad eh?

I think it could help, depending on the type of person you are. The easiest way to avoid smoking is to think of the high taxes you pay on a packet of cigs. Tobacco is a cash crop, maybe they should be growing food not fags.
Good luck!

I know people who have tried that, and it didn’t work. But it might be worth a try, maybe it will work for you. I don’t know the cost, I imagine it depends on the hypnotist.

About three years ago I went to a hypnotist for help to stop smoking. I had smoked for 12 years. The session lasted for an hour, I thought when he finishied that I had wasted my money, but it was the best money I ever spent. I never had to wrestle with stopping, it was never a chore, it was almost as if I had never smoked. I paid $100 for the hour. Check them out first and then go. However, don’t waste your time on a group hypnotherapy session.

You’ve really gotta want to stop for it to work.
Good luck you can do it!!!

I don’t think that will help,i mean what happens when the hypnotic moment is over, when the person snaps out of it.When one wants to quit smoking, that person needs determination only.

I would hypnosis is very effective and better than any nicotine replacement, I have recently had hypnosis to give up and so far not a problem! it has been amazing and has turned my life round to a better one! I can only recommend it, i am now nicotine free and feel fab. Hypnosis has around a 93% sucess rate unlike nicotine replacement of about 47%. My session cost me £150 with 2 back up sessions included in case I should need them.

I know how to hypnotize and actually took a course in "medical hypnosis".
The studies on smoking cessation and hypnosis suck. One prominent hypnotist gave blatantly false information about his success rate. He claimed that he had 99% success rate. However, if a person went back to smoking, the hypnotist didn’t count him/her.
Basically, if you want to quit, hypnosis might provide some additional moral support for you. However, I do not think it would a "cure".
I suggest choosing a quit date. Eat lots of fruit/fiber… drink tons of water. Make sure you get plenty of sleep and start exercising daily. If you find yourself thinking of smoking, go for a brisk walk or take a nap, or something to get your thinking past it.
