It took a lot of time for me to give up smoking but the pictures of oral cancer scared the hell out of me. I have recently quit with nicotine replacement therapy and prayers for God’s protection.

Same here its been 3 days for me and im doing it cold turkey for my daughters and my wife. Its one of the hardest things to do but not quiting was an end i didnt want to see

Roger was sent off to hater land. When we started smoking there were NO warnings on the cig pkgs. Nobody knew they were bad for you. Everybody smoked! Have you seen the Youtube vid of the man from the Marlboro commercials? That may be before your time, but they were allowed to advertise on TV and in magazines. Well, he had the same surgery and he has a great vid on Youtube of himself ’singing’ about smoking not always killing you. Thanks for trying to set little Roger man straight, but he’s GONE

Way to go!!!! I chewed a lot of gum and ate lots of M&Ms when I was quitting. It’s not easy, but once you get to the point where other people who smoke STINK and that’s embarrassing to think you use to walk around stinking like that, it gives you a whole new perspective. Keep up the good work! Your body will thank you!!

ok roger i honestly your a little angry over the comment that the company should be sued??? when this guy started smoking it would have been advertised every were and all famous people “”including sports stars”" smoked it was the in thing these companys only told people the bennefits of smoking NEVER the harm it caused, just like just 100 years ago herion was sold at the chemist as it was said it was great for the complection and clears your mind, we now know that it is an awful drug

Some people’s bodies can tolerate smoking and some can’t. I quit smoking a month ago and I am already starting to feel much better, not to mention my sex life is much improved performance wise.

You seem very angry about that! I hope you can find some peace in your life! The tobacco companies have so many herbicides, pesticides and chemicals in the cigs now, it’s very, very dangerous to your health. That’s something rather recent and why people are having more health problems from smoking. I’m glad you’re one of those perfect people who never make a mistake or have a bad habit! But, I imagine from the language that you’re probably about 12 or 13. Use your words honey! Prayers for you!

It’s reality. I know kids think it’ll never happen to them. That’s what my husband (the man in the vid) thought too. His grandfather started smoking when he was 9 and lived into his 90s with no smoke related illnesses, so my DH thought he was safe… The tobacco companies should really be sued…

Quitting smoking has so many benefits, you wll be stunned.
I smoked for twenty years and giving them up totally and completely cured my depression. That may not happen for you but it did for me.
I’m healthier, wealthier, have more stamina (nudge-nudge, wink-wink), and my complexion hasn’t been so good since before adolescence.
Don’t do it because you should – do it because it’s plain awesome!
