You really need to consider rehab for your massive addiction.

Sadly not fully, your lungs can not get fully better but you will be helping yourself if you do stop. You might even start to breath better if you have breathing problems but they will not fully recover.

Better if you stop today than if you keep going longer. Just one or two a week is not even addictive quantity, get a patch if you have a hard time at all but you can probably just stop.
You will not have developed lung cancer from this. THAT would be permanent. Just irritation or minor tar buildup will clear.

Used to smoke a lot of hash, mixed with tobacco, probably about half a cigarette a day or so. Quit both no problem.

They will get better, and drink lots of water to help cleanse your system.

I believe that they will prepare some..and get stronger, but a lot of the damage is done. stopping smoking wil prevent it from getting worse.

I have heard that if you do not yet have cancer that your lungs can completely recover. Ask your Dr.

I would make an appointment with an oncologist ASAP. You are probably turning into cancer already.

yes, they should be able to repair themselves, though depending how long you have been smoking, they might not be as great as a person’s lungs who haven’t smoked.
I hope you really do decide to quit, it will make a big difference.
good luck

Yes, they will heal eventually. In your case, since you don’t smoke much, they will heal pretty quick! Good luck & congrats. Quitting smoking is the best thing you could do! (Well one of them haha) =)

I don’t know what info. you need to determine that it would depend on how long you have smoked….I would do a search for the American Cancer Society & see if they info. on this.

if you smoke for 7 years, it will take 10 years to heal your lungs. So it depends on how long you’ve smoked but yes, they can heal. But you can’t undo the damage you’ve done to your body with the cancer causing chemicals so even if you quit the damage might already be done.

From what I have heard, yes. From what I heard, it takes your lungs as long to get back to normal as the time that you smoked. Meaning if you smoked 5 years, it would be 5 years for the lungs to return to normal. Your habit of 1 or 2 a week is the lightest habit I ever heard of and at that small an amount its hard to see how it could even harm you. My dad used to limit himself to one smoke a day, after work, with a drink.

Your lungs are not that damaged but smoking is never a good thing.Your lungs should be able to heal cuz the damage is not too big.I know my moms lungs will definetly will not heal.

it take 7 years for your lungs to heal. they will never be healthy like a non-smokers lungs but they will heal as much as they can. besides you barely smoke i doubt your lungs have much damage anyway.

YES….SO STOP SMOKING NOW !! EVERYBODY WHO EVER SMOKED, STARTED WITH ONE A WEEK…..NICOTINE, IS THE MOST ADDICTIVE CHEMICAL KNOWN TO MAN !! NICOTINE IS MORE ADDICTIVE THAN , HEROIN , COCAINE AND ALCOHOL….NICOTINE IS MORE POISONOUS THAN ARSENIC !
IN THE UK , 50 YEARS SMOKING , AT 20 PER DAY, AT TODAYS PRICE (£5 PER PACK OF 20) WILL COST £100,000.
CIGARETTES CAUSE 50 DEADLY DISEASES….AND 10 DEADLY TYPES OF CANCERS !!!
IF YOU TAKE INFLATION INTO ACCOUNT , THAT SAME AMOUNT OF CIGARETTES, WOULD COST YOU £2,500,000 IN 40 YEARS TIME…..

The earlier you quit the better. I recently read somewhere that if you quit at like around a certain age range that your risk of lung cancer will be reduced to about 70% i think.
EDIT: haha i didn’t mean if you quit you will have a 70% chance of getting lung cancer, but i meant it is REDUCED 70%.
