I want to quit smoking and am desperate for support. I have tried patches, Welbutrin, and other ways including support groups. I am considering this medication along with a support group. Anyone had any luck with this? Has anyone had any luck with any thing else?
ok so i havent personally taken the pills but my mom and two aunts have. two of three succeeded. But let me warn you the side effects can be drastic, read them, and it shows. So the two that have quit, one did the support group where she had to set a quit date and talked with everyone during difficult times and the other, my mom, did not use a support group.
this year on april 5 and may ninth will be there two year. Goodluck and i hope that this will work out for you.
Im glad to see your trying to become heathier and im sure the people in your life will enjoy the years you gain back with you.

Sorry, no experience with that… I figure the incidence of suicidal depression, and the icky withdrawal from the drug is just not worth the risk for myself. I’m still addicted, but wish you luck

When you say Chantix I will assume you mean Champix, only available on a doctors prescription. Yes I have tried it and it made me as sick as a dog, decided it wasn’t worth it, will have to try some other means of giving up the dreaded weed. Good luck
